These 2 sets show a progression of a strike through error on a silver dollar. You can deduct that these coins were subjected to the strike of the die with a piece of debris located between the die and the planchet. The debris was not ejected with the coin as it was on the anvil die located at the bottom end of the press.
4 of the 6 coins in this set are composed of silver.
