2005 Canada Proof Double Dollar Set with Gilded Silver Dollar Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Canada's National Flag.
The Canadian flag that we use today comes with a rich history and it was basically inspired by the planning of the 1967 centennial celebrations. During that time, countless experts were involved in the parliamentary committee and after a number of proposals, a new design was found: the maple leaf. It should be noted that the maple leaf was (and still) a highly recognized symbol of Canada and it's indeed a fitting emblem.
All coins (except Loonie and Penny) are Sterling Silver.
