Vintage white milk glass hobnail centerpiece bowl. Not mark and manufacturer is unknown. Round bowl measures 10 1/2 inch diameter and stands about 3 7/8 inches tall. The pointed hobnail cover about 2/3 of the lower side of the bowl and the bottom. The upper third of the bowl has 12 scalloped edges with teardrop cut-type design. The inside of the bowl is totally smooth.
There is 1 hobnail that has a chip - see pictures. All other hobnails are good. No cracks or stains. Heavy.
I've only seen one other bowl like this on the internet and it was said to be Fenton. However, I have a lot of reference books on Fenton and could not find this pattern in them, so I really do not think it is Fenton. If anyone knows the pattern and maker, I would really like to know. This bowl would make a lovely decorated centerpiece for the holidays.
