Hello,
Over the course of this amazing adventure in designing and creating quality windchimes, we have listened to and learned from an incredible number of great stories told to us by our customers. Although the people are from all over the world and rarely have anything in common, there is an undeniable theme in the stories they share with us.
Every single chime was purchased because someone was being kind:
- whether they were kind to a friend, a family member, a co-worker, or themselves, it didn't matter if was a memorial for the loss of a loved one or an inspiration for someone moving on to a new chapter.
We decided we needed to do more merely say "thank you for sharing your story" (though that doesn't get old - I promise). The hardest part was that even though kindness was the shared connection, each experience was unique. We had to ask ourselves:
"how can we acknowledge both the shared experience as well as the unique?"
We were by two fantastic ideas:
- leaving small positive messages for people on rocks, and
- the memory of opening a cereal box knowing there was a prize inside but not knowing which one until it was open.
Our goal is to make someone smile in unexpected circumstances and create a connection between strangers. After rereading all of the stories shared with us through our emails and reviews, we picked four messages and got to work figuring out how to fit them into the Kindness Chime.
The messages are:

- Be a little boulder
So, my hope is that you pay it forward and keep the kindness flowing, keep the relaxing melody ringing, and/or keep it as another way to know that someone was thinking of you with kindness in their hearts. If you didn't get the message you were hoping for, don't worry, we are working on making the rocks available on their own as well.
